The Reading Tracker Add-on is designed to help track reading progress ​using Google Sheets. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ​ensuring the security of your data.


2. Data Collection and Storage


All data entered into the Reading Tracker Add-on is stored exclusively in ​your own Google Drive, within the Google Sheet created for this purpose. ​This includes:

  • Names of readers
  • Reading minutes
  • Book titles and authors

We do not collect, store, or process any of this data outside of your ​Google Drive.


3. Data Processing


All data processing occurs within the Google Apps Script environment, ​which only accesses the Google Sheet you've created for the Reading ​Tracker.


4. External Services


We use the Open Library and Google Books APIs to fetch book ​information based on ISBN numbers you provide. This information is then ​stored in your Google Sheet and is not retained or stored elsewhere.


5. User Information


We do not collect or store any personal information about users. The add-​on uses Google's authentication system, but we do not have access to or ​store any of your Google account information.


6. Data Protection

Your data is protected by Google's security measures for Google ​Workspace. We do not have any additional access to your data beyond ​what you've authorised for the add-on to function within your Google ​Sheet.


7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be ​reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.

The App is designed to assist educators in creating balanced class groups based on various ​criteria such as ability levels, workload, friendship lists, and avoid lists. The App processes data ​locally within Google Sheets and does not transmit or store data externally.


3. User Responsibilities


As a user of the App, you agree to:

Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

Ensure that your use of the App does not violate any applicable local, state, national, or ​international laws or regulations.
